SMACITE workshop in Patras

On Thursday 23rd November 2023 the first national workshop of the SMACITE project took place at the premises of the University of Patras, in Patras, Greece. The workshop has been co-organized by University of Patras and Olympic Training and Consulting, partners in the SMACITE project.

During the workshop the following presentations took place:

• The SMACITE Erasmus+ project (University of Patras).
• Metacities: Using digital twins for creating Smart Cities (University of Peloponnese).
• Actions to promote green living spaces for effective cooperation in the Mediterranean region (Region of Western Greece).
• Smart City applications in the Municipality of Kalamata: Development and installation of interactive multimedia information systems for citizens & visitors (Municipality of Kalamata).
• Initiatives of the Municipality of Trikala for the creation of Smart Cities (Municipality of Trikala).
• The HEI-OASIS project and skills matching for the up/reskilling of Smart Cities technicians and Enginners (University of Peloponnese).

Moreover a demo of the beta version of the SMACITE MOOC and Virtual Worlds has been done. Furthermore, the Univeristy of Patras, coordinator of the SMACITE project is pleased to announce the start of the registration to the free SMACITE training program for smart city technicians and engineers, students and other interested parties related to the industry!
