ESI CEE (European Software Institute - Center Eastern Europe) was established as a Regional Excellence Center of the European Software Institute (ESI), Bilbao, for Eastern Europe in 2003 as a public-private partnership between European Software Institute, Spain, Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM), Bulgarian ICT Agency, and with the support of ICT industry stakeholders.
The mission of ESI Center Eastern Europe is to work for increasing the competitiveness of the ICT industry in Eastern Europe, to promote ICT competences as a competitive advantage on individual, organization and national level, as well as to support the development of Information Society and competitive Knowledge Economy.
ESI CEE is specialized in aligning, development and application of innovative educational methods and content in university ICT curricula, promotion of ICT competences, encouraging STEM among school students in Bulgaria. ESI CEE builds management and R&D capacity through provision of training and educational services in the fields of: software engineering, cyber security, quality management, leading ICT projects & teams, strategic ICT business planning and management.
The training and educational services of ESI CEE cover all age groups - from pupils to mature ICT professionals. In implementation of its strategic goals ESI CEE closely cooperates with many educational institutions (schools, universities' and agencies) in order to provide updated modern curricula for software engineering and design in compliance with the market and society demands.
