SMACITE awards
We are pleased to announce that the SMACITE project will offer the following 3 awards to the students that participate in the pilot training:
- Award 1: €800 to the student achieving the highest average score at the online exams leading to certification.
- Award 2: €400 to the student achieving the highest average score among at least 3 technical courses given that he/she has succesfully completed the courses, i.e. he/she has got the certificate of completion for each course.
- Award 3: €300 to the student achieving the highest average score among at least 2 courses on horizontal skills, given that he/she has succesfully completed the courses, i.e. he/she has got the certificate of completion for each course.
Please take into consideration that:
- In case of a tie, a draw will take place.
- It is not possible for someone to get 2 awards, i.e. if someone receives two awards he/she will get the award with the highest price.
All courses are available at this MOOC. The deadline for completion of all courses is 31 October 2024.
The winners of the awards will be announced in the 2nd week of November 2024 December 2024 (due to an additional round of certification exams scheduled).
We would like to remind to the students that:
- For the technical courses, you receive a certification of attendance upon completion of the full course, given that you achieve 70/100 points at each quiz (you have 3 attempts), as well as 70/100 points at the project.
- For the courses on horizontal skills, you receive a certification of attendance upon completion of the full course, given that you achieve 70/100 points at each quiz (you have 3 attempts) as well as attend at least 50% of online training sessions at the Virtual Worlds.
- A student is eligible to participate in the online exams leading to the certification, given that he/she has succesfully completed (i.e. getting the certificate of completion) the Smart Cities course + 1 additional technical course + 1 course on horizontal skills.
The 3 awards are a kind sponsorship of the Greek Computer Society, a non-profit organization, committed to representing all Greek scientists and professionals engaged in activities relevant to Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications and other relevant scientific areas.
